This post shares the highlights of the talk given by Michael Mapes, intuitive business coach about the power of intuition to transform grief into healing.
- Self-reflect before seeking out a medium. Be in a place to be able to receive help.
- Don't feel pressured to see a medium and keep an open mind.
- Spent time doing your research and looking for medium testimonials before making your choice.
- Work with the medium who is best for you: online, in person or nationally known. Find the best fit.
- Being able to connect to a higher power on demand is our birthright and powerful.
- Be open to your intuitive side. Feel connection with your loved ones who are gone. You're not alone.
- Be open to love and support from others. Keep your heart open.
- Feel connected to the Universe.
- What is the most I need to aid me in my healing process? Do some intuitive writing.
- Date entry in your journal, write a question (e.g. What can heal me?), be present and be open to an answer.
- Intuition is a muscle: more you use it, more you will be in tune with it.
- Take 5 minutes and ask 'What is it I need to know to transform the course of my day?' Be open, no ego.
- Have a technique to re-center and re-connect to who you truly are.
- Think outside of where you are when you're faced with a dramatic situation like a loss of a loved one.
- To start your transformation, write down an opposite of your current story. Start making small changes.
- Ask your loved one who is gone: "Give me a message so I'll know it's you." Don't micro manage it.
- Focus on positives not on negatives. Be open and trust the Universe.
- When you do your inner work, it needs to be a bit uncomfortable and scary. Work through it.
- Don't rush to say 'I'm wrong'. Allow yourself to feel it. Write it down to release it and move beyond it.
- Fever gets hotter before it breaks. It must be part of a journey. It's ok to feel out of sorts when healing.
- Give love to yourself, feel worthy, don't compete with others in transforming. Be kind and gentle.
- Trust yourself and your inner voice. Listen to yourself. You have all the resources you need to navigate your journey.
