The lotus flower symbolizes an array of beliefs in different cultures and religions. Egyptian, Hindu and Chinese mythology hold the lotus as a symbol of creation. Christianity views the lotus (white lily) as a symbol of purity. In Eastern philosophy the lotus is viewed as a symbol of spiritual unfolding. While the lotus is rooted in muddy waters, it travels upward in aspiration towards the light and finally blooms into a beautiful flower.
This urn is designed to be hung on a wall. It can also be placed flat. A false back is removed to place the remains in the urn and then secured by brass screws.
This urn can be customized by etching the name of your loved one and dates ($90 extra). If you want the name and dates added, please provide them in the Special Instructions box when checking out. Thank you.
This urn is available on a special order basis and can be scaled to meet any size required. As a small size individual size urn it measures 7.5″ h x 10″ w x 4″ d with the capacity of up to 130 cubic inches.
Due to this urn being hand riveted, many of the seams are not airtight. Ashes must be contained inside of a plastic bag. A heavy plastic bag is provided inside of the urn that serves as a liner. This can then be sealed, securing the ashes in the urn.
